Current RTA Discount Details for 2026

RTA offers a 50 percent reduction on most Dubai traffic fines when you pay before 31 March 2026. The discount applies to fines issued before 1 January 2026. Fines added after this date do not qualify for the reduction.

How to Check Your Total Fine Balance

Log into the RTA Dubai app or visit the RTA website with your Emirates ID or vehicle plate number. Your dashboard shows every unpaid fine, the original amount, and the discounted total after the 50 percent reduction. You can also call RTA on 800 9090 for a verbal balance.

Payment Methods and Deadlines

Pay through the RTA app, DubaiNow, or the RTA website using a debit or credit card. Cash payments are accepted at RTA customer service centres and selected banks. The 50 percent discount window closes at midnight on 31 March 2026; after this date the full fine amount becomes due.

Which Fines Qualify

• Speeding, red-light, and seat-belt violations
• Parking fines issued by RTA
• Salik toll violations recorded before 1 January 2026

Black-point fines and criminal traffic offences are excluded from the discount.

Consequences of Missing the Deadline

After 31 March 2026 the original fine amount is restored. Vehicles with unpaid fines may face registration blocks, Salik gate bans, or police stops during routine checks.

• Verify every fine on the RTA portal before payment
• Keep the payment receipt for at least 12 months
• If a fine appears incorrect, submit a dispute through the RTA app within 30 days of issue
