How to Use Sehha App for Government Health Services
Sehha app is UAE government health super-app for appointments, prescriptions, vaccine records. Here is how to use every feature.
Quick answer
Download Sehha from the App Store or Google Play, sign up with your Emirates ID or passport, and link your insurance. Use the app to book appointments at government clinics and hospitals, order repeat prescriptions, view vaccination records, and pay fees. All services are managed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). Current fees include AED 100 for a general consultation at primary health centres and AED 50 for a repeat prescription. In 2026, Sehha will add lab-result notifications and online specialist referrals.
Download and set up the Sehha App
Search for "Sehha" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Look for the official icon showing the UAE flag with a health cross. Once installed, open the app and tap "Register". Enter your Emirates ID number or passport details. Verify your phone number with the SMS OTP sent by MOHAP. If you have valid health insurance, tap "Add Insurance" and scan your card or enter the policy number.
Linking your medical records
After registration, the app pulls your existing records from the national e-Health system. You will see past consultations, lab results, and vaccination history. If data is missing, visit any MOHAP primary health centre with your Emirates ID to have your records updated manually.
Booking appointments at government facilities
Tap the "Appointments" tab at the bottom navigation. Select "Book New Appointment". Choose the facility type: Primary Health Centre, Hospital Outpatient, or Dental Clinic. Pick a location near your emirate. In 2026, average wait times show next to each slot.
Available dates and times appear after you select the specialty. General medicine, gentry, pediatrics, and family medicine are most common. Tap a slot and confirm. You will receive an SMS and in-app notification with a QR code.
Arrive 15 minutes early with your Emirates ID and the QR code displayed on your phone. If you need to cancel, go to "My Appointments" and tap "Cancel" 24 hours before the date.
Managing prescriptions and medications
View current prescriptions under the "Prescriptions" tab. For repeat medicines, tap "Request Repeat". The app sends the request to your prescribing doctor for approval. After approval, you can collect medicine at any MOHAP pharmacy or have it delivered through the "Delivery" option.
Fees in 2026 remain AED 50 per repeat prescription request. Delivery costs AED 25 to any address in the same emirate. You see real-time stock availability at nearby pharmacies before confirming.
Medication reminders are set by tapping "Set Reminder" on each pill bottle icon. The app notifies you at daily times.
