What is Sehha and who can use it
Sehha is the official UAE government health platform managed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention. It works across all seven emirates and lets residents book appointments, view prescriptions, download vaccine certificates and check lab results from one account. Expats with a valid Emirates ID and an active DHA, DOH or MOH file can register.
How to register and log in
Download Sehha from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Open the app and tap Register. Enter your Emirates ID number, mobile number and email. Verify with the OTP sent by SMS. Once your identity is confirmed, link your existing health file by entering the file number from any government hospital or clinic. The process takes under five minutes.
Book and manage appointments
Tap Book Appointment on the home screen. Choose your emirate and preferred facility, such as DHA primary health centres or MOH hospitals. Select the specialty, pick a date and time slot, then confirm. You receive an instant confirmation SMS with a QR code. To reschedule, go to My Appointments, tap the booking and choose Change or Cancel. Same-day slots at some DHA centres open at 6 am; book early to secure them.
Access prescriptions and medicines
After a consultation, your e-prescription appears under Medications. Tap the prescription to see dosage, duration and pharmacy collection status. You can send the prescription directly to a participating pharmacy such as Aster or Life Pharmacy. Prices are listed in AED; for example, a standard antibiotic course often ranges from 45 to 120 AED depending on brand. Refill requests are submitted in the same screen and approved within 24 hours if clinically appropriate.
View records and download certificates
All lab results, radiology reports and vaccination history sit under Health Records. Tap any entry to view details or download a PDF. COVID-19, flu and routine childhood vaccines appear with dates and batch numbers. To get an official vaccination certificate, select the vaccine record and tap Download Certificate. The PDF carries a QR code verified by MOH and is accepted for school, work and travel.
Pay bills and track insurance claims
Outstanding bills from government facilities appear under Payments. Pay with a saved card or Apple Pay; a 50 AED late fee applies after 30 days. Insurance claims for DHA or DOH facilities can be tracked in the same section. Status updates show Submitted, Under Review or Approved, usually within 10 working days.
