For classic creek photos, sit on the right side of the abra heading from Bur Dubai to Deira around sunset. You will pass the old dhows and the illuminated minaret of the Grand Mosque. On the water taxi, the stretch between Jaddaf and Festival City gives clear views of the Burj Khalifa and the creek skyline at night. Keep your camera ready when the boat slows near the turning points.

Practical Tips Before You Go

Arrive at the station 10 minutes early during peak tourist hours. Carry small notes for the abra driver. Wear comfortable shoes because you step onto a floating pontoon.
