Three licensed companies cover most emirates: Emirates Gas, Sharjah Gas, and Abu Dhabi Gas. Each works with building management to schedule deliveries, so residents rarely deal with the supplier directly.

How to place an order

Call your building security desk or management office. They log the request with the supplier and give you a delivery slot, usually within 24 hours. Some towers now let you book through their resident app. Keep your apartment number and contact number ready.

Current prices and deposits

A standard 13 kg domestic cylinder costs 95 AED in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, 85 AED in Sharjah. You pay a one-time 300 AED deposit for the cylinder on first delivery and 100 AED for the regulator. Refills are charged at the same rate every time; no monthly fee applies if you only pay for gas used.

What affects your monthly bill

Most two-person households use one cylinder every six to eight weeks. Families of four often need one every four weeks. Peak summer use rises because air-conditioning runs longer and people cook more indoors. Track usage by noting the delivery date on your calendar.

Safety checks during delivery

The delivery agent inspects the hose and regulator for cracks. Replace any part older than two years. Never store the cylinder in direct sun or near the stove. Report leaks immediately to building security and the supplier hotline printed on the cylinder label.
